As a rule of thumb, I tell those who view writing as a challenge that writing is a process. I believe, most of the time, great pieces of works do not become great pieces of works from the first try. So for me, I got my start at writing through the enjoyment of reading, which led to the inevitable journal writing then on to poetry.
As a preteen, I entered a poetry contest and won. I was privileged enough to have those pieces of poetry published. This experience led me to major in English Literature. While in college I wrote for the school newspaper as well as served as an editor for two newsletters. I really never dreamed that I would continue to have the privilege of writing for a important publication.
Later, I dived into the world of professional writing consulting about a year and a half ago and have not looked back since. All in all, I have freelance written for about seven years now.
I invite all to read my articles and to make comment. My interests and topics range from science to politics. Enjoy!
